Venues & Rentals
- All venues are based on a 24-hour rental period (midnight to midnight)
- General Liability Insurance is required for all rentals and events
- If alcohol is being served, one or more SA Police Officer(s) will be required for security (minimum of 4 hours)
- Caterers must be on the City’s approved Caterers List
Fort Concho rental facilities may be viewed during business hours, Monday-Saturday 9:00 am- 3:30 pm and Sunday 1:00 pm- 3:30 pm. Please contact us before coming to view the facilities to ensure they are not being used that day.
A deposit and contract are required to reserve the facility and the date. The deposit does NOT go towards the rental fee, but it is refundable as long as the conditions of the rental agreement were properly followed and the facility was cleaned after the event. Once home to the commanders of the post, Officers’ Quarters 1 has been fully restored and adapted as guest quarters with the best of the 1870s and the 21st century. Modern heating and cooling, three bedrooms, showers/bathrooms, full kitchen, dining room, small office, and parlor room. OQ 1 can accommodate up to three couples for overnight lodging. General Liability Insurance is not needed for overnight lodging. Max. occupancy: 8-10 guests.
**This is an overnight-stay only. Please note that due to the popularity of this rental, we will need at least a 2-week notice of arrival to verify that the building is available. A contract and deposit will be due before a date can be held.**

Also a restored officers’ quarters that can be rented for daytime and evening functions with two restrooms, full heating/cooling, kitchen, and space for receptions, parties, etc. OQ 8 can accommodate 50-75 for a sit-down event and many more for a “come and go” reception. The wooden floors are not suitable for dancing. The building comes with 8 eight-foot folding tables and 75 folding chairs.

One of the two oldest original buildings in the county, the Commissary has been restored as a large meeting hall with restrooms and a functional kitchen. Fully equipped with heat and air conditioning. Tables and chairs are available for up to 150, and additional seating can be arranged for up to 175. The Commissary is suitable for dancing. The building comes with 18 eight-foot folding tables and 150 folding chairs.

+ $700 rental fee
The historic Stables Block at Fort Concho is the largest space for rent with a seating capacity of 350-600 people depending on the event and its requirements. A large built-in stage sits at the far end of the hall. The Stables has air conditioning (cooling), heating, and restrooms. This is a wonderful venue for large dinners, dances and parties. The building comes with 50 eight foot folding tables, 12 cedar tables, and 300 folding chairs.

+ $1,750 rental fee
Similar in size to the Quartermaster or Commissary, Barracks 6 has a more “rustic” or “authentic” feel to it, with its wooden floor and lower ceiling. The building can accommodate 100-125 guests for a sit-down event. It is fully heated and air-conditioned. Restrooms are located in the courtyard behind the building. The building comes with 15 eight-foot folding tables and 125 folding chairs.

Adjacent to the Commissary, the Quartermaster is the other oldest building in the county. The Quartermaster has the seating capacity of the Commissary but lacks kitchen space and has a slightly different interior with a loft on one end. As the Quartermaster is an exhibit area for Fort Concho, it is not always available for rental. The brick floors are suitable for dancing. The building comes with 18 eight foot folding tables and 150 folding chairs.
