Held during the first full weekend in December, Christmas at Old Fort Concho transforms the fort’s forty acres and twenty-four buildings into a winter wonderland filled with shopping, entertainment, food, displays, living history, children’s workshops, and of course, a visit from Santa.

School of the Piece: Artillery Safety Training Course
Feb 7 @ 9:00 am – Feb 9 @ 1:00 pm

Fort Concho and the Loyal Train Chapter of the United States Field Artillery Association (USFAA) will be hosting the School of the Piece Safety Training Course February 7-9.
Cost for the training will be $50.00 for early-registration, or $55.00 at the door.
Participants are asked to bring their wool jackets to the training. Loaner jackets are available upon request (limited quantities).
Lodging at Fort Concho is also available upon. Please let us know if you will be staying at the site for the training when you register.

Schedule:
February 7th— 9:00 am Check-In/Registration opens at the Living History Stables Classroom (234 Henry O Flipper). TBA Evening Social/Supper.
February 8th—8:00 am Breakfast; 9:00 am Classroom Instruction; 12:00 pm Lunch; 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm Classroom instruction; 6:00 pm Dinner (chicken fried steak with trimmings) provided by the Loyal Train Chapter.
February 9th—8:00 am Breakfast; 9:00 am Field Instruction; 12:00 pm Lunch/Completion certificates awarded.

Join us for a spine-tingling night tour of Fort Concho. Visit several of the fort’s buildings and listen to our guides recount the stories of people who lived and died at the site.
