USCA Regional Cavalry Competition
Apr 23 – Apr 25 all-day

For the 5th year in a row, Fort Concho will host a Regional Cavalry Competition under the rules and guidelines of the United States Cavalry Association (USCA). The competition will include events in military horsemanship, combat horsemanship as well as jumping, pistol, and saber.
The course and regulations will be the same as those in effect for the USCA annual event held at Fort Reno, OK.

The event is free to the public.

Frontier Day

Come celebrate the region’s rich heritage with special demostrations, exhibits, booths, living history, 1880s Base Ball, and the Lions Club Pancake Breakfast. The site’s touring buildings will also be open during the event. There is no charge for this half-day event beyond the $6.00 fee for the pancake breakfast!

Fort Concho After Dark

You may have heard the tale behind the tragic death of Edith Grierson, but do you know the story of Annetta Bishop, the Merriam family, or Convict Thomas Duncan?

Join us for a spine-tingling night tour of Fort Concho. Visit several of the fort’s buildings and listen to our guides recount the stories of people who lived and died at the site.

$8 – General public

Murder at Fort Concho

Who killed Captain C.A.Daver?

Modeled after the board game Clue, Murder at Fort Concho gives participants an opportunity to play detective for a night. Listen to the suspect’s alibis, search for clues, and help Miss Terri Salva solve the whodunit.

The event will run from 7:00-10:30 pm, but tickets will not be sold after 9:00 p.m. Tickets will be available in the Visitor Center at Barracks 1 in early October.

$10.00 General Admission
$8.00 Fort Concho Members.
