NAACP Buffalo Soldier Memorial Dedication Weekend

There are several activities planned for the entire family over the weekend of July 28-30, 2023. All activities are family-friendly. Review the schedule of activities then select the package or option you desire.  Several activities are free.

The unveiling of the memorial will take place Friday, July 28, 2023, at 9am at the memorial site 717 S. Oakes (corner of Ave. D and Oakes across from Fort Concho). We recommend arriving Thursday to ensure you will be in San Angelo in time for the unveiling.

You will be able to pick up your event package with tickets and admission badges Thursday, July 27, 2023, from Noon-7 pm at Fort Concho, Barracks 6. (Map attached) and Friday, July 28, 2023, at the Memorial Pavilion from 10:30 am-2:30 pm.  No on-site registrations.  Deadline to Register:  July 15, 2023
